Massage Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 500 hours of massage therapy education and certificate of completion.

• State of Illinois Massage Therapy License

• Background and reference check required

• Knowledge of and experience in performing Swedish Massage required, knowledge of and experience performing deep tissue and other modalities preferred.

 

Massage Therapist Responsibilities

• Perform quality 60 to 90-minute customized massage session (50 to 80-minutes hands-on)

• Conduct thorough pre- and post-service consultations and document SOAP notes using a clinic iPad.

• Recommend services and enhancements such as hot stone, CBD treatments, aromatherapy, cupping, assisted stretching and many more.

• Effectively communicate with clients, coworkers, and managers.
